Archival Virtual Tourist Entries: Abilene, Kansas
Among the many stops made during my trucking days was Abilene, Kansas, the birthplace of General and President Dwight Eisenhower, who has a presidential library and historic home there. There's also a Greyhound Museum and retirement home for these race dogs, and a venerable old downtown worth a few minutes off Interstate 70.
